I went out to Absynthe with the sanctioned members of Girl's Night last night. I'm such a high-fallutin' foodie that i shunned the face of their coq au vin for a whopping burger, a Belgian beer, and two cupcakes. Just call me sophisto-cat!

Working on a bunch of different stuff these days. Just submitted a Bar Bites review for the Chron, and my first piece for Pregnancy on acupuncture and back pain. Doing another review of Mission Beach Cafe for SFStation, and a ton of editing/consulting work for NaturalPath.com Not a bad showing for a 15-hour work week.

Well, it seems that due to the buttheadedness of the politics of the Ferry Building, my book, surely what was to have been a genius, Beard-award winning first cookbook, has been, *ahem*, postponed. I am trying to stir up some other trouble of a different flavor...we shall see, we shall see...

All the othoer kidsar out frolicking in the sunshine, and I'm inside working on my first solo upcoming book, The Cheap Bastard's Guide to San Francisco (Globe Pequot Press). See, you thought this was a blog, but in truth it's just a marketing tool. Ha! Take that, Madison Ave.!

this is so 1999 to say, but I am entirely stoked to launch my new website. it's way, way "robustier" than the old 2D model. I hope it turns a few heads...
