The Kid-Haters Go Wild...
So, I wrote this story recently for the Chron'sFood section on play cafes. It doesn't really have much to do with me or the piece that I wrote, but the paper's readers started a holy blog war about taking children to restaurant both here (on the comments page below the story online) and on the Chron's parenting blog, The Poop. I had no idea this was such a hot button issue. I feel honored to have been the catalyst in such a fervent debate. Meow! Let the battle of the breeders versus the non-breeders rage on...

Karen, I have a year old girl and at times your writing has been like an oasis. Exactly what I needed to read on those days when teething or the super baby poopies have us down. Also, your humor really helped me get through the last oh-my-god-I-feel-like-a-miserable-whale days of pregnancy. I've never read anything (especially about parenting)that has been so witty and honest. I wish I lived in San Fran so I had a reason to buy your book!
