In the early days of the Green Economy, I had the pleasure of working with a cannabis company focused on women’s health and wellness. We hosted live, informal events for the public to meet with ethical vendors, and held public and private dispensary tours. What I loved about this gig is that it wasn’t about partying; it was honed in on growers and product makers who use the same standards and ethics as organic farmers and Michelin-starred chefs. Getting that message across was quite a novel distinction at the time. This piece demonstrates some of my marketing skills for one of the live events. I wrote up a fact sheet for all vendors in attendance and gave them some ready-to-use copy for their own blogs, newsletters, and social media streams to help promote the event.
