I am holi-obligated to nag you into book buying submission. However, before I do, let me share some updates (and recipes) with both your kitchen and your brain:

Asian Pickles: JapanI am hard at work for my next cookbook project, Asian Pickles. A complete printed book for your shelf will be available in March 2014. But that’s FOREVER away! In the interim, bite-sized chapters will be released in four ebooks:

Asian Pickles Japan, out in December, and available for pre-purchase now ($2.99 – cheap!) This will be followed by Asian Pickles Korea, Asian Pickles China, and Asian Pickles India.

(And guess what? You DO NOT need an e-reader like Kindle, Nook, or iPad to read ‘em! There’s an app for that.)

I also have a new monthly food preservation column for, Make Now, Eat Later. And I’ve inked a blog post series for Williams-Sonoma’s Agrarian line.
