Recipes in the Works for Asian Pickles – Eggplant, Mushrooms, and Squid (Oh My!)

Hello Food Eaters! Just wanted to share a few rough sketches of some of the new recipes I’m working on for the Asian Pickles ebook and book series. Asian Pickles Japan is nearly in the bag, and while pre-orders are happening now, it will be released in December, 2012. I am now well into Asian Pickles Korea, and soon will be diving into Asian Pickles India and Asian Pickles Indonesia.

Mushrooms with soy sauce, ginger, garlic, brown sugar, etc.
Yup. Pickled squid, made fiery with Korean chili flakes, gochujang, ginger, garlic, and jalapeno.

 

Asian eggplant gets into a tizzy when pickled with potent mustard and umeboshi. Wow!
